East Africa

Since 1985 I worked on a range of issues in East Africa. I started in Uganda, living and working for six months in a small village  in Lango district. In 1990-1994 I worked in Mvumi, Ugogo in central Tanzania. In both cases the focus was on farming system analysis and development.  Since 2003 I completed some ten  training and consultancy missions to  Ethiopia, often in the field of cooperative development for pastoralists. In between I completed a dozen assignments to Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania and Rwanda. In the latter case the focus was on institutional cooperation with higher education institutes.
