Marketing and cooperatives in Moldova

In a series of fourteen missions over seven years I supported and coached AGROinform Federation in designing and implementing the programme ‘Alliance for the Support of Agricultural Markets’. It consists of 4  components:

  1. Support SME’s in post harvesting and marketing (incl. credit);
  2. Support to informal farmers’ sales groups and setting up (export) cooperatives (twelve in total) 
  3. The AgraVista Website with price information, marketing analyses and a matchmaking facility;
  4. Lobby to improve the export regulations (e.g. the government monopoly on cereal export was broken).

My main activities were: backstopping, training on coop development and Business Planning, design a credit line for SME’s and(export) coops.
